At the peak of bluebonnet season, the Hill Country of Texas is covered in bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrush wildflowers. Just east of Llano, TX, this old oak tree standing guard over bluebonnets and paintbrush wildflowers.
The bluebonnet is the state flower of Texas. The shape of the petals on the flower resembles the bonnet worn by pioneer women to shield them from the sun.
